CastleMUD: Spectres of the Past
Fragments of the last age...
Fragments of the Past

Though much of the kingdom's written history was lost in the flight from the Old Empire, and the subsequent Battle of Sunim, the bards of the kingdom have been charged with finding and protecting the fragments of history that still exist. Collected here are some of those fragments, which should help to enlighten us all as to what came before. Perhaps they even hold a hint to overcoming the strange darkness that currently plagues the kingdom?

As our bards continue to find and restore additonal fragments, they will be brought here fr your review.

Recovered writings, restored by Eldgewick...

Founding of a Kingdom
Rumored to be the first ever recorded piece on the founding of Lord Holt's Kingdom.

Holtsson Chronicle (issue 1)
The kingdom's early attempt at a courier based news service was the Holtsson Chronicle. Though an initial success, the war disrupted service and eventually shutdown the distribution.

Holtsson Chronicle (issue 2)
This issue of the Holtsson Chronicle included a short note by the Athol Brose, the now infamous priestess who caused the first war by breaking the sacred "Circle of Ten". The note by Athol Brose appears to be prior to her desecration, and thus may hint at her early mental instability.

Holtsson Chronicle (special edition)
The special edition was released during the confusion of the "Awakening", as an emergency response to the evil that had sapped the memories of many of the populace.

Holtsson Chronicle (issue 3)
The issue offers a small glimpse at the chaos that erupted in the kingdom after the desecration and subsequent repairing of the "Circle of Ten".

Holtsson Chronicle (issue 4)
A celebratory volume offering a glimpse of hope among the discord after the fall of Old Malisa to Tylthul's legions of fire.

Holtsson Chronicle (issue 5)
The last known volume of the Holtsson Chronicle. It was released in the early days before the final battle of Sunim, and also mentions in passing the now defunt Shadow Guild - the agents key in the assassination attempt on Lord Holt.
